If you have received a New information, then you add a new block “Most recent information”.

Why does the system do not calculate the deadline from the new Receipt date and instead calculate

the deadline from the previous Receipt date?

If the system did not calculate a new deadline, it’s because, the previous block did not have any

“Reporting date” field completed. The system will consider that the case has not been reported yet.

Therefore, you will obtain the same deadline as the previous block.

If you have completed one of the fields “Reporting date” from the previous block “Most recent information”,

the system will understand that the new information entered with the new Receipt date is a Follow Up

and that the case has been already transmitted. The system will then calculate a deadline starting from the new Receipt date entered.

So, what to do if you need the deadline to be calculated from the last receipt date without having to enter a reporting date in the previous “Most recent information block”?

Let’s take this example:

This case, was an initial case received the 05-May-2011 and it was not submitted. Then we received a new information the 12-Apr-2019 and as you can see the deadline for the 12-Apr-2019 is calculated from 05-May-2011

To make the deadline to be calculated from 12-Apr-2019 in the second block, you will have to:

  • Delete the second block, and in the initial block tick the following fields at “No” then save the case:

The deadline is no longer calculated in the first block.

  • You will add the second block with the new receipt date and save the case:

Now the deadline is calculated from the new receipt date.
